Protest as Performance
Friends,
This Thursday April 16th we will be hosting a talk by Robby
Herbst on protest as performance. You can expect to hear about yoga in the
streets, sectarian marches and witchcraft. The discussion will center on research
that Herbst has done regarding current trends in "distributed" forms
of protests. The research, and subsequent writing, have informed the work in
our current exhibition "Blockades (with collaborators)".
"Blockades (with collaborators)" has been reviewed
by the Los Angeles Times. This exhibition will be on view until
this Saturday, the 18th of April.
