David Patton Los Angeles
Two upcoming events: Record Listening (4/2) & Protest as Performance Talk (4/16)

Thursday, April 2nd, 7 PM
David Peel & the Lower East Side "The American Revolution"
&
Miles Davis "Live Evil"
One side from each album

Friends,
Thursday April 2nd we will be hosting a Record Listening beginning at 7 PM sharp. Organized by Robby Herbst, for this evening we will be listening one side of "The American Revolution" by David Peel & the Lower East Side (1970) and one side of "Live Evil" by Miles Davis (1971). Like a film or video screening, we will present some historical info of the albums and then listen to them, in this instance first one side of one, with a brief intermission to stretch legs, and then one side of the other. We'll have a few chairs available and the doors will be open a little bit before hand.

Thursday, April 16th 7 PM
Protest as Performance

We will hold a second event on Thursday April 16th wherein Robby Herbst will host a Talk about protest as performance. Both this and the Record Listening event are free.

Our current exhibition, "Blockades (with collaborators)", an exhibition of work by Robby Herbst, will be on view until this Saturday, the 18th of April.
